Welcome to Less Is More the personal blog of a digital advertising connoisseur, media man, skier, somewhat avid cyclist, foodie, wine lover, car & history buff. Questions?

Soon.
Making big strides today.
Some things are always classic.
I knew the day I met Justin in 2007 we would be friends. We worked together briefly at Acxiom, where we both got our feet wet in digital media. There is a certain click with kids, teens, and grown adults who grew up playing with Legos. Their minds think the same, and they learn to piece together their lives in the colors that once were small lego’s. There are no missing pieces, there is just an opportunity for a new design.
Some of us followed directions, some took one look at the box and took a stab at it. Justin and I were the latter, and I am proud to say we still do the same thing both in life and with Lego’s. We have advanced to building Frank Lloyd Wright Lego’s and Great Hill’s designs as well, but we still approach adversity the same way, head on.
I want to wish Justin best of luck, and a round of applause for taking this to the next level by entering the LEGO Modern Home Design Competition, presented by Dwell. Still being able to be a kid in this very boring & habitual corporate world is paramount to happiness. The post modern college grad’s are rushing to six figures, only to get there and realize, what did I just leave behind?
Remember what made you smile as a kid? Good.
Now go do it today.
Cali does black and white.
Iron your shirts gentlemen, ladies notice the lines.
Some Sunday’s it’s ok to be a kid again.
“I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day.”

A great rule to traveling is to never waste a day doing it. If your flight is delayed, smile at the nearest person and buy her a drink. Emily, the nearest person to me at the time is a talented & intelligent lawyer who doubles as a part time bikini model. She hates law, and is well read and most of the time takes payment in the form of wine, meal or a free surfing lesson.
Our 10am flight was delayed due to mechanical issues and was to leave at 230pm. After much laughter, I joked we should go to the beach and come back. A 39$ car rental and 40 minutes later we were sitting at the beach renewing our glow. Emily was gracious enough to let me add her to my portfolio as a real first solo woman shoot.
Lost in a jungle today.
It felt like I handed landed on the moon. Rocks were everywhere, and there was not a soul on the beach. These photos do not need an edit in my opinion, they should serve as a reminder of the natural unedited beauty of nature we see with our our eyes. Thank you Pav for suggesting to visit El Matador beach.
Meet Clyde & Lil Cat (yes that is his name).
This week they have been my alarm clock, by providing complimentary face sitting’s at 8am.
Up high it seems as though nothing can touch you, but for me this is when anxiety begins. Something has to go wrong, something big, right? When it does, it it is a harsh reminder that reality is always kept in check by karma. You can’t escape the up’s and down’s of life, no one can, but you can prepare and attack them like a hill in cycling. So, when up high and alone, make sure you look down and remember your path and how you got there.
Live an honest and clean life and from what I have learned you can stay up high and soak in the sun.
